Mujhse Dosti Karoge (2002)
Susan was nice enough to lend me her copy of this movie. Lo and behold, I actually have seen this one before and had forgotten all about it! Maybe I blocked it out because I rented it from the not-so-friendly Lady's market. At any rate, this movie is a prime example of my cotton candy theory. Thus, here's my list of reasons to watch:
- Kareena Kapoor cries like Claire Danes.
- The longest, most fabulous Bollysong medley-mix the world has ever seen!!! [Was that thing like 20 minutes or what?! This time around, I think I actually recognized three or four songs which means I absolutely must watch again in three months and re-check my score!]
- Rani & Hrithik dance in the rain!

hahaha! i remember this one, when i was borrowing hrithik movies at least once a week...
...the funniest aspect was the magical sindoor breeze...ah, gotta love the limitless creativity of filmmakers in finding Moral Ways for Moral Characters to Get Hitched..
I liked this one for just one reason. HR. It was a miserable flop though at the BO.
This was my first Bollywood movie and I will always love it specially for that. Also, I love when Kareena says "Leave it to Tina!" with a dismissive (or maybe it's sense-of-finality) hand gesture. Also, sap that I am, I love the idea of people falling in love through letters.
Beth I totally feel you on the letters thing! There's something about beautiful writing that gives me warm fuzzies!

I wasn't sure about this one before but now I wanna see it! Will it make me like Kareena more? I'm still undecided, she ruined K3G for me but then I liked her in Yuva ... *ponders*
I'm definitely not a Kareena fan BUT I thought she looks really pretty in this one. (I was going to post a photo but I forgot.)
Kareena isn't the heroine in this one, which makes her slightly arrogant and clueless character tolerable. And she does behave nobly in the end.
But Uday Chopra? No. No no no.
I do love The Medley, which I believe has clips from 12 different songs. It is one of my goals to finally identify all of them (about halfway there) and then I will have my PhD in Bollywood. :)
Ok i found your blog really late! I just wanted to say that one of the many reasons i love MDK is how natural HR looks! I love his look in this movie-mostly jeans and those LS t's! He looked sensational. The church scene he was a symphony in light blue. That outdoor scene where he is wearing hot pink light sweater tee and jeans and Rani looks meh! He goes down on one knee with his hands on his heart and bows his head. I was swooning! [Did I mention the cut of those tops?? They emphasized those slim hips and arse. He has a nice arse. The jeans were tight enough to accentuate everything. Yes! I'm pretty certain they were adjusted, and i gave thanks to the WM again!] His clothes accentuated that gorgeous body without him having to go shirtless. When Rani was holding him in that church scene, i had tears in my eyes, but TBH i was thanking the wardrobe mistress for finally getting the right look for him. Also honourable mention on that score to Na Tum Jaano Na Hum! Loved his look there.
