Mira Nair, Johnny Depp & Brad Pitt

Looks like three of my favorite Hollywood types will be making a movie together.
According to Variety, Brad Pitt's production company Plan B is planning to produce Shantaram a film directed by Mira Nair, starring Johnny Depp.
That's the kind of news that makes me happy!

Oooh! I read a few rumours about Shantaram and Johnny Depp a while ago, but there wasn't any mention of Mira Nair. Sounds fantastic, I hope it goes through!
The movie was announced ages ago but Peter Weir dropped out as director and it looked like it might have permanently stalled. I was bummed cos I loved the book. I didn't know that Mira Nair will now direct - that's great news!
The Movie also has Amitabh Bachhan in the role of Johnny Depp's Mentor and surrogate father.
