No thanks. I'm Fasting.

In an act that may hopefully will not amount to blog suicide, I have decided to fast from blogging for Lent. I’ve never observed Lent before because I’m a protestant and we don’t do those sorts of things. The Catholic tradition is to fast from meat but I don’t eat that much meat. I really like blogging so that’s what I picked. I’m going to spend the next 40 days using the time I’d normally be searching for cool photos and writing pithy posts to meditate on Christ and gain focus.

With that said, I'll be back online Monday, April 17.
Ciao.

I am impressed! I went to Catholic school growing up and even though I'm not Catholic they'd make me pick stuff to give up and I was already a vegetarian so I'd give up stuff like "eggplant" and "green beans."

Traditionally, Lent ends on Holy Saturday or Good Friday. Also, Sundays aren't counted as part of the 40 days. You could still be writing pithy posts if you wanted. ;)

I guess that doesn't include participating in other peoples blogs.

Nothing like old friends to be salty towards you in public places...

Thype, Good luck on your fast for Lent. See a sista like me just gave up fast food, (ha,ha). I didn't do Lent until two years ago, and I'm an AME which is almost like Black Catholic meets New Holiness and never reconciled...go figure...

I really love your blog! It is so cool to see someone who knows how to be smart and funny too! And did I mention a fellow fan or pop culture?

Anyways,
